We were delighted to welcome the ITV News team to our ‘Growing Skills’ Chelsea Flower Show Garden earlier this month!
During their visit, we were able to share all about our exciting journey to reach the prestigious gardening show, highlighting the hard work and dedication from our Members that went into preparing for the event.
Check out the feature below to see the garden in its new home at Stockhill Fire Station in Nottingham. Hear from our Members – Elliot, Simran, and Will – talk about their personal involvement in the project and their joy in winning the Garden for Good Causes: People’s Choice Award.
Our Chelsea Flower Show project not only showcased the gardening talents of our Members but also celebrated the importance of creating accessible, inclusive spaces that promote learning and wellbeing. From the initial design to the final planting day, the team embraced every step as an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally, proving that a shared love of nature can bring people together in transformative ways.
The feature also highlights our long-standing partnership with Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue, who have been invaluable support for Pulp Friction since the beginning. By replanting our garden at Stockhill Fire Station, we’ve been able to provide our Members with a unique opportunity to engage with the local community, while promoting the benefits of sustainable gardening. The fire station’s commitment to supporting inclusive initiatives aligns perfectly with our mission at Pulp Friction, and together, we’re fostering a space that encourages growth, learning, and collaboration for everyone involved.
